Scientifically-Backed, Scalable Survey Products

The Pride Teaching Environment Survey (TES) and Learning Environment Survey (LES) offer a powerful reporting system and examination of current and upcoming issues in education. When combined, these two survey products provide a context by which whole schools are measured. Students, teachers and administrators can then address the weaknesses within a school as a team, and build upon the school’s strengths.
Both of these scalable survey products, for students and teachers, have undergone more than three years of psychometric testing of responses drawn from 72,000 teachers and 240,000 students. Data produced by the Pride TES and LES have been found reliable and valid, and they strongly correlate to academic achievement. Both questionnaire products have been included in the National Center on Safe Supportive Learning Environments (NCSSLE) Survey Compendium of valid and reliable school climate surveys.
The Pride TES and LES are unique survey products in that some two-dozen parallel items allow administrators to compare teacher and student responses side-by-side. Our intuitive electronic dashboard takes the guesswork out of interpreting survey findings by graphically displaying large data sets in easy to interpret domains (categories) and scales that are not available from other companies. Sites that previously administered the Communities That Care (CTC) Youth Survey, offered by the Channing Bete Company, can continue to collect data using our replica of the CTC Youth Survey.
The 12-page questionnaire and report have been copied and included in our line of scalable survey products. We have also updated the survey to include the new core measures required for DFC (Drug-Free Communities) grantees.
Like all customers who use one of our survey products, you will receive your results (view sample report) within two weeks, once all completed questionnaires are received in our processing center. Please review our Reliability and Validity Study for more information.

With the expert assistance of Dr. Jack Pollard of the University of Washington, Pride Surveys has introduced its Risk and Protective Factor (RPF) Survey, a shortened version of the Communities That Care Youth Survey. Dr. Pollard was instrumental in the early development of the CTC Youth Survey.
Appropriate for students in grades 6-12, our new RPF survey products contain the risk and protective factor items that show the strongest correlation to drug use. The RPF Survey Report contains scale scores familiar to previous users of the CTC Youth Survey, as well as percentage responses for each risk and protective factor item (sample report).
The four-page survey instrument can be administered by those who have used the original Pride Surveys Questionnaire for Grades 6 to 12 without loss of longitudinal core data. It is also appropriate for sites that have not conducted a student survey.

Another of our scalable survey products regarding substance abuse, the Drug Free Communities (DFC) Core Measures Supplement focuses on data collection of the following four core measures:

• 30-day data of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use
• Perceptions of risk regarding these substances
• Perceived parental disapproval of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use
• Perceptions of peer disapproval

The one-page, single-sided DFC Core Measures Supplement is much shorter than the majority of our other survey products, and is therefore recommended to be used in conjunction with another survey instrument. For instance, many institutions may use the DFC Core Measures Supplement if they are already gathering student data, but their current survey instrument does not meet their grant’s data collection requirement. As with all of our questionnaire products, you can expect to receive your results (view sample report) within two weeks after the data reaches our center.

The Pride Survey Plus takes a closer look at some of the most pressing current issues we have seen develop in the past few years. New for 2018 the Pride Survey Plus adds 2 categories to the existing core measures including prescription opioids as well as e-cigarettes.
